FIIT MIT FETT

Fitt mit Fett Healthy with Fat or in Fat there is More Dr. Ulrich Strunz &Andreas Jopp (2002) Strunz U & Jopp A 2002, Fitt Mit Fett, Wilhelm Heyne Verlag GmbH & Co., Munchen, Germany 1. Introduction A Longer Life with the Right Kind of Fats Believe it or not but the truth of healthier and sounder living lies also in eating the right kinds of fat. The secret of Japanese and Mediterranean long-lived life lies in eating the right kinds of fats and oils. This is proven by research and the presence of large numbers of 90 to 100 year olds in those countries. Problem is that we all eat fat but do not know what they are and how they work in on our bodies, how many different kinds there are and where we get them from. The common knowledge of fats are outdated; “cholesterol is bad, olive oil is good, animal fats are bad, fat from plants are good, but is this knowledge still enough for a substance or a group of substances that makes out 40% of our diet?

CELEBRITY CHEFS RULE ROOM SERVICE

Five Celebrity Chefs Who Rule Hotel Room Service
Where: Various Hotels , United States
February 28, 2013 at 6:51 PM | by Chanize | Comments (0)

We’ve talked about our favorite dishes to order from room service (FTR—grilled cheese rocks the casbah every time), but we’re recognizing that more and more in-room dining offerings are the vision of the world’s top chefs who have restaurants inside the hotels we’re patronizing.

The room service option may even be a second choice if you aren’t able to score a reservation in the chef's signature restaurant, but are in town and dying to get a taste of, say, Bobby Flay's latest creation.

So the next time you peruse your hotel’s room service menu, think about if you should go for the everyday cheeseburger or the yellowfin tuna tartare, whose recipe is courtesy of Gordon Ramsay, Daniel Boulud, or Matsuhisa Nobu's vision.

Here are a five hotels HC thinks has exceptional room service menus, which include choices from celebrity chefs.

RICHARD BRANSON

Long before Richard Branson launched a record company, a mobile-phone company, an airline, or any of the other 400 or so companies he has created, he was dropping out of school to start a magazine. Fortunately for Branson, he had an understanding father.

Like a lot of entrepreneurs, I had no interest in being a businessman. I was a young man and the Vietnam War was raging, a war I thought never should have been started. A lot of us young people felt very strongly it should be stopped. I thought that maybe by giving us a voice, I could help stop the war. So I set about launching a magazine for young people called Student.

Of course, I didn't have any money. So I worked out of my boarding school, ringing up Coca-Cola and Pepsi and National Westminster Bank, playing them off one another to buy advertising. I had no idea what I was doing, but somehow my enthusiasm managed to land me $6,000 worth of advertising, enough to print 50,000 copies. I wrote my headmaster a note that said, "I'm off! But thank you very much," and I left school to launch the magazine.

MANAGERS REPORT CARD

There’s good news and bad in a recent survey on how employees view their supervisors. Managers excel at acting ethically, but they’re not so hot at motivating their charges when things aren’t going well.
Nine out of ten employees see their bosses as both ethical and professional, but far fewer said their superiors were good at motivating their staff in times of adversity.
That’s according to new research from consulting firm Healthy Companies International.
Healthy Companies International surveyed 2,700 employees throughout North America to explore the behaviors of immediate supervisors.
The survey posed the question, “How do you rate your boss’s performance? The person to whom I report… ” and then listed various managerial behaviors.
Here’s a rundown of the behaviors, and the percentage of employees who agreed, either strongly or somewhat:
Acts in an ethical manner — 86%
Behaves professionally toward employees — 84%
Expresses values and personal belief in work — 81%
Is open to suggestions and new ideas — 81%

SOCIAL COMPLAINTS MEDIA

If your business has a social media presence, at some point you'll have to deal with negative feedback. How you and your business handle it will go a long way toward either creating a new customer or driving a potential sale away.
"Sometimes you have to go the extra mile to keep the customer happy," says social media strategist Kim Beasley, CEO of GrowVisibilityWithMe.com. "No, you're not selling yourself short, and you can turn a negative into a positive."
